Cross-country skiing pleasure at 279 km perfect trails!

The 5 villages that make up the Olympiaregion Seefeld have, for many years now, been providing cross-country skiing facilities and conditions that are unparalleled anywhere else in Europe. Our network of trails offers a veritable haven for all cross-country skiing enthusiasts.

With 279 kilometres of immaculately groomed trails covering all levels of difficulty, both beginners and experts alike can enjoy the sport to the full. With 154.3 km of trails for classic-style skiing and 124.7 km for skating-style skiing, the ratio between the two types of trails is more or less equal and many sections have both types of trail running parallel to one another – and all set against the stunning mountain panorama of the sun-blessed Seefeld high plateau.

In addition, the Olympiaregion has several special trails including floodlit trails for evening skiing, dog-friendly trails and adaptive trails for skiers with physical disabilities.

Competition-Level Trails

In Seefeld, you can follow the tracks of Olympians and champions: Twice already - in 1964 and 1976 - the region has been the venue for the Nordic competition in the Olympic Games. In 1986, the athletes participating in the Nordic Ski World Championships in Seefeld fought for the precious medals and in February, more than 10,000 enthusiastic spectators are always expected for the the World Cup for the Nordic Combination. Countless national teams appreciate the sport facilities as well as the hospitality for their training.
